Committees.

The committees of the Greater Dayton Advertising Association keep the organization running. They are a great way to meet and build relationships with other advertising professionals.

Below is a list of our current committees and a description of their functions. If you are interested in joining any of the committees, please indicate by checking items of interest and submitting this form. Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in contact with you.

	Auction Our largest fundraising event of the year. It's a chance to meet some great people and help us fund scholarships, public service campaigns and programs.
	Communications Coordinate the flow of information for distribution within the association as well to the media and public. Help us spread the word about your professional association.
	Education/Scholarship Committee that forms the student liaison with local universities; also promotes, selects and awards GDAA scholarships.
	Hermes/ADDY® Awards Annual awards program is our largest and most-prestigious event of the year. It involves collecting entries, working on the judging and then working on the show. You'll connect with a wide range of advertising professionals.
	Hospitality Making everyone feel welcome at meetings and events. Sometimes, it can be intimidating attending a meeting when you don't know anyone. This committee reaches out to attendees so they feel comfortable.
	Legislative Keep up with government affairs and legislation that can affect our industry. Any advertising threat is a slippery slope.
	Membership Recruiting new members and retaining current members. It allows you to meet others in the advertising business who may be potential clients and friends.
	Mercury Awards New awards program recognizing advertising professionals in sales and support industries including ad specialists, media types and vendors – those who are not recognized by the Hermes, which is a creative competition.
	Networking/Social Plan various activities outside our normally scheduled meetings so everyone can get together in a less formal setting.
	Programs/Seminars Research and selection of our monthly speakers and the seminars presented before our meetings. Meet nationally known advertising professionals.
	Public Service Selection of non-profit partners and implementing the marketing they require. Also developing other ways people can give back through smaller projects.
	Registration/Meeting Check-In Greet folks at our regular monthly meetings and check them in. Another way to meet many of your advertising colleagues.
	Sponsorships Secure sponsorships for our meetings and events. It gives advertisers a way to support their association and promote themselves.
